Brenda MacIntyre is the Healing Singer! From Hip Hop to Medicine Song

Brenda MacIntyre is the Healing Singer, the Medicine Song Woman, and before I even say anything about Brenda, I've got to say that her new CD, simply entitled Medicine Song is AMAZING! 

And I mean amazing. 

Brenda, Medicine Song Woman, is a Juno Award-winning Native Canadian World Music Singer, Healer, Artist & Speaker. Through her work, Brenda assists individuals and audiences in increasing their joy, vitality and well-being.  Her music heals and uplifts.  Being a Native American, also known as an Aboriginal, healer and hand drummer she has her roots in Reggae and hip hop of all things both of which influence the CD. 

Brenda's healing energy is FULLY present front and center in this amazing music.  So as you listen to each song you'll feel a expansion in your heart and a warm opening in your belly.  You are emanating love and joy.  And the music rocks!  Brenda has an incredible voice and this CD is not just all Native healing songs, though they are represented, this CD contains music of all styles.  A true work of art, love and healing

"It is so beautiful and uplifting! The sound perfect. Your voice and the arrangements SOAR like an eagle on a thermal! I LOVE the reggae/soul blend. I ADORE Back in The River, it sounds like down home New Orleans R&B/reggae/cajun music! A true celebration of so many diverse styles blended magically and woven into this magical song! Delicious! I feel like I am being blessed over and over and over. A permanent grin has been planted on my face and love and joy are dancing with each other in my heart!"

Last Spring I had the opportunity to get together with Brenda and speak with her about her art, her healing, her path and how she came to be doing what she's doing. Brenda's traveled an interesting and sometimes dark road to where she is now.  All of which she discusses in our conversation.  She shares how she moved to Miami to sing and record music and her first hit single which was in Hip Hop!  She went on to win awards for her Hip Hop music while also recording and exploring Reggae.  Brenda's story is fascinating and it has all led her back to being a channel and conduit for healing of all beings through sound.
