Living with the new energies of the 2010 can leave us
feeling a bit off center. It's as if we are out on a boat and haven't quite gotten
our sea legs yet. There are powerful energies streaming right now and all this year that
are readying us for what lies ahead. However, these energies are unlike
anything we have experienced so we may find we are feeling 'ungrounded'. We can
feel a bit "raw" and sensitized to life around us. We might be feeling a bit
more tired lately and a bit unpredictable in the emotional and feeling
departments. Why? We have had the proverbial tablecloth
pulled out from underneath us in one quick swipe and the feeling that remains is
one of trying to regain our footing much like the beer bottles in the picture above. We can't regain the foundation that we
had before, that is dissolving and is being replaced with something vastly
different. Where we are heading feels different from where we've been because
it is. Throughout our lives we always could rely on a common ground on which
our experiences unfolded. That ground is now vanishing and what's feeling so
odd is that there isn't a new ground that has taken it's place. Everything is
shifting and at a dramatically accelerated pace. The energy that will enable us to ride it out most
comfortably is one of unconditional love and allowing.
So how do we "be" in the midst of all this new energy? Be easy. Easy, liquid and flowing and not solidifying
ourselves or anything in our life. The more solid and defined we insist that
we and things be, the more uncomfortable and challenging this period of new
energy will be for us. Be like flowing molasses, cohesive, but not holding any particular form, instead taking the form of
whatever container is offered and being gentle with ourselves and life.
Letting go of concepts of right-wrong, good-bad,
easy-hard will allow us to partner with this new energy. Accepting 'not knowing'
will feel much better than insisting upon knowing. Know that time is being condensed and we
can materialize our desires much faster now if we pay attention only to that
feels good. Allow what shows up and know it as perfect.
Embrace the unsteadiness with the knowing that the
new ground on which we will eventually come to stand will be beyond anything
that we have ever experienced. It's a time to celebrate and allow our spirits
to dance for it is an exciting time!
And now the humorous visual explanation . . .
The tablecloth is being yanked
out from underneath us! Are we going to end up like the guy in the Speedo at the end?
Recently I was invited to participate in a drive to neutralize the carbon footprint of blogs and plant trees for each blog neutralized. In honor of Earth Hour coming up on the 27 of March and because I Love our Earth and love trees, my blog is now carbon neutral! I invite you to do the same!
I had no idea that a blog could have a carbon footprint! Seems a bit out there to me, but I LOVE trees and if displaying the carbon neutral button will ensure a tree is planted for the domain of www.allabout-energy.com then displaying!
Apparently a blog can have a carbon footprint. According to a study by Alexander Wissner-Gross, PhD, physicist at
Harvard University and environmental activist, an average website
causes about 0.02g (0,0008oz.) of carbon dioxide for each visit.
Assuming an average blog gets 15,000 visits a month, it has yearly
carbon dioxide emissions of 3,6kg (8lb.). This can mainly be tracked
back to the immense energy usage from (mainframe) computers, servers,
and their cooling systems.
From the website:
And how do
we actually neutralize your blog's carbon footprint? We are planting
trees in cooperation with the Arbor Day Foundation in Plumas National
Forest in Northern California for our project to neutralize the carbon
footprint of blogs. Thousands of wildfires burned down many national
forests over the past ten years and 88.000 acres of Plumas' were
destroyed by two fires in 2007. To help replanting we need the support
of bloggers all over the world! For every participating blog we plant a
tree. One blog - one tree.
Let the planting begin! To participate in making your blog carbon neutral and enabling the planting of a tree in your blog domain's name, visit the website here and follow the very simple guidelines.
~ Scientists say nerves use sound, not
electricity
{ We constantly hear that we
are vibrational beings and that we must align our vibrational frequency. Sound
is a vibration and a frequency. Science is showing this too! Below is the
scientific look at our vibrational nature. }
The common view that nerves transmit impulses
through electricity is wrong and they really
transmit sound, according to a team of Danish scientists. The Copenhagen University researchers argue that biology
and medical textbooks that say nerves relay electrical impulses from the brain to the rest of the body are
incorrect.
"For us as physicists, this cannot be the
explanation," said Thomas Heimburg, an associate
professor at the university's Niels Bohr Institute. The physical laws of thermodynamics tell us that electrical impulses
must produce heat as they travel along the nerve,
but experiments find that no such heat is
produced." Heimburg, an expert in biophysics who
received his PhD from the Max Planck Institute in Goettingen, Germany -- where biologists and physicists often work together
in a
rare arrangement -- developed the theory with
Copenhagen University's Andrew Jackson, an expert
in theoretical physics.
According to the traditional explanation of
molecular biology, an electrical pulse is sent
from one end of the nerve to the other with the help of electrically charged salts that pass through ion channels and a
membrane that sheathes the nerves. That membrane
is made of lipids and proteins.
Heimburg and Jackson theorize that sound
propagation is a much more likely explanation.
Although sound waves usually weaken as they spread out, a medium with the right physical properties could create a special kind
of sound pulse or "soliton" that can propagate
without spreading or losing strength.
The physicists say because the nerve membrane
is made of a material similar to olive oil that
can change from liquid to solid through temperature variations,
they can freeze and propagate the
solitons.
The scientists, whose work is in the
Biophysical Society's Biophysical Journal, suggested that anesthetics change the melting point of the membrane
and
make it impossible for their theorized sound pulses
to propagate.
The researchers could not immediately be
reached for comment.
