Today IS The Venus Transit! Check Your View - Watch it On Your Smartphone!

The rare Transit of Venus is TODAY (the 5th in parts of the world, the 6th in other parts).  Use the links below to see when it is viewable in your location.   This is the 2nd part of pair of transits, the 1st part was in 2004.

The remarkable astronomical transits of May continue into the month of June with the historic Venus Transit traveling across the face of the Sun. This was preceded by a Lunar Eclipse on the 4th. On June 5-6,  is a rare and spectacular event known as the Venus Transit.  This is essentially an eclipse, however, instead of the moon coming between the Earth and the Sun it is the planet Venus. As the basis of the Mayan "Long Count Calendar", the Venus Transit is regarded by many as the celestial signal that the "Great Transformation of the Closing of the Cycle" has begun.

As the blended radiations of the Sun and Venus make their way into the Earth's electromagnetic field, it weaves the energies of illuminating love and unity into mass consciousness. There are some very cool tools to know where to look for to observe the Transit of Venus on the 5th/6th from your location!

For us in the U.S. it will be on the 5th (Tuesday) that we can see anything.  But how about this cool precise location map that determines where you are and shows you exactly what we'll see when?  http://transitofvenus.nl/wp/where-when/local-transit-times/   Since we can't see the sun at night, only part of the transit is visible for most of us in most of the world.  Lucky Australia and Eastern Asia (plus Hawaii) will get to see the entire transit!  PLUS this calculating map is so cool that you can click and see what each Transit of Venus looked like from your location from 1639 all the way through 2125. 

Regardless of where you are in the world you can "watch" the transit on your smartphone!  There is an iPhone and Android app put out by the developers of this website: http://transitofvenus.nl/wp/getting-involved/phone-app/  It allows the user to participate in a global experiment recreating the "mapping" of the solar system by following the Venus Transit from various places in the world just like they did in the 1700's when they first used the transit of Venus to determine the vast size of the solar system.  The app is Free!
